One Week Old

Sunday the 29th of January and Elsa is one week old. She's still sleeping all day and up all night but is improving slowly. Fair to say we're quite tired though.

Evie Takes A Picture

Evie is let loose with the digital camera. That's her absolute top favourite teddy on the left who goes by the name of Granger. The newcomer on the right may or may not end up as Elsa's fave. He goes by the glorious name of Godwood.

Midwife Attack

The midwife comes round on Friday to get some blood from Elsa for the standard newborn blood tests. Amazingly she doesn't cry. And neither does Elsa. (tumbleweed....)

Going Out

Elsa gets her coat on to go and register her name on Friday 27th. She's now legal. This was also her first trip in the car.

Waigwa Detox

The missing monkey, Waigwa, breaks his detox with Elsa the day after she's born.

Evie Meets Her New Sister

Elsa is about an hour and three quarters old when her elder sister Evie arrives with two monkeys and two pizzas. Combined with a bottle of champagne this marks the first Elsa celebration.

Elsa Arrives With A Splash

Elsa was born last Sunday. 17:45 on the 22nd of January to be exact. She arrived on the due date in between meals which was nice of her. We went for the www.birthpoolinabox.co.uk homebirth option. It worked a treat and now means we have a huge paddling pool for the summer. Splendid!

Since then she's been a fairly traditional baby - sleeping during the day and awake all night. Evie gets on fine with her and loves holding her. She wanted a sister so is delighted.

We tried an Evie blog before (www.eviedsouza.blogspot.com) but of course started it and never continued. We'll attempt tomake regular posts to this but no guarantees. It'll be mainly pictures.

Anyway, on with the first batch of pictures....
